Depending on your education background you will be able to enroll in one of the following level’s of study:
Pre-University
Foundation / Diploma 8 or 12 months costs approximately p.a A$15,000 – A$24,000.
University Diploma
Equivalent to year 1, 8 – 12 months costs approximately p.a A$15,000 – A$25,000.
Undergraduate
Arts, Business, Computing, IT & Communication 3 years costs approximately p.a A$15,000 – A$35,000.
Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture 5-6 years costs approximately p.a A$45,000+.
Engineering, Pharmacy, Education, Health services & Law 4 years costs approximately p.a A$13,000 – A$35,000.
Masters
1 – 2 years

Intakes
Australia has reasonable flexible commencement dates. The academic year in Australia is from February – November, with the following commencement dates usually available:
Admission
AEC will be able to assist you with admission to a university or college depending on your academic background.
Entry can be after O level, A level, KCSE, IB, Foundation, Certificate, Diploma and Degree. These qualifications must be from recognised bodies.

Insurance
Australia has a health cover system for international students called Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). You must have health cover for the duration of your enrollment as a condition of your visa requirements. OSHC Will help you pay for any medical or hospital care you may need while you are studying in Australia, and will contribute towards the cost of prescription medicines and an ambulance in an emergency. Dental, optical and physiotherapy are not covered.
Work
One of the advantages of being an international student in Australia is that you can work part time while you study. The permission to work is part of your Australian Student Visa. You can work up to 40 hours per fortnight while your course is in session.
However, you cannot start work until you have commenced your course in Australia.If you’re bringing your family

Student VISA
AEC will guide you in obtaining an Australian Student Visa. Our trained visa staff will guide you on how to complete the Australian Student Visa forms and what documents are required, so that your application complies with Australian immigration law. We have a great success rate for students obtaining a visa.
The minimum processing time for the Australian student visa is 2 – 8 weeks after your application has been submitted. Each student visa application is unique and individually assessed. The final decision is made by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
40 Hours?
Your spouse can also work up to 40 hours per fortnight once you have started your course in Australia. if you have started a course at the Masters or Doctorate level however, your spouse may work unlimited hours. If you or your dependents work in excess of these restrictions your visas may be subject to cancellation. Work is not guaranteed The money you could earn while working can help towards pocket money but cannot support your fees and living expenses.

Standard of Living
Australia enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the world while remaining affordable. On average an international student in Australia can expect to pay between A$14,000 and A$25,000 per year for living expenses.
This would include accommodation, food, limited entertainment, public transport and incidental costs. You could spend more or less depending on where you live, your lifestyle and your course.
Accommodation
Depending on an individual student’s needs, AEC can assist students in obtaining either on campus or off campus accommodation. Accommodation options include home-stay, private apartments / houses or on campus accommodation.
